Talk About it Tuesday Hairstylist & Healing

We are going to discuss today how being a hairstylist and being a healer works together . We as hairstylist have been a shoulder to cry on , a listening ear without judgement, and someone an individual can tell their business with it being confidential. I get it we live in a society where expressing anything outside of luxury, being lit , twerking , and traveling is just beneath the human experience. Let’s be honest most people experience isn’t as luxurious as it seems and keep numbers in mind . Numbers state facts baby no matter how lit everyone pretends to be numbers show that America is in debt. Anyways back to topic at hand , I get it we live in a society where we have to hide our vulnerability because it’s used against us . In a salon it’s suppose to be a safe space though. I remember growing up I did hair in my moms living-room . The reason that clients truly enjoyed coming to get their hair done at my moms home was because she would openly express her personal experiences without fear of judgement, without a care of what others think . Lol , so when you wonder why I am confident in my vulnerability you can thank my mother for that . Recently Queen Bey (BEYONCE) even spoke how being in a salon was her first audience as a child . She express how being in the environment where women built community based on healing together at salon . Now I can honestly say that today things are quite different, we have social media , everyone wants to be funny and then you have those who literally want to ”talk about” , screenshot , or record things to be funny to feel better about the misery in their own lives . Truth be told hairstylist are more than just hairstylists. I don’t care how often a woman mentions she doesn’t have money for a therapist, she will find money to get her hair done . Truth is just TRUTH . In doing so clients find not only someone to care for their hair , but someone to care for their mental .

Come out of the illusions , let me touch your crown , let’s heal , more than anything let’s get slayed . Also , I’m not after money , I’m after impact so it doesn’t matter if I’m getting all clients. I just need the right ones to direct them to the right place . I believe in divine connections , even those sent to be nosey are indeed “connected” .
