The best thing about having healing conversations are the things that you learn about yourself along the way . As I’ve endured on this journey of healing it has taught me to stop pointing the finger at others and what they did to me, but to focus more on what I did . I was forced to do some mirroring . Self reflection . Face my truths . Whatever you’d like to call it . We all have situations that sometimes we want to replay and it somehow turns out differently. When you spend your time trying to seek revenge or see revenge happen , you have somehow lost your way . When we want to control the outcome of things that are literally out of our control we lose focus . I don’t know about y’all but I’m a control freak. Meaning I like to be in control of so much going on around me that it can sometimes make others uncomfortable. Sometimes make people feel like I don’t want them around, which isn’t true . I’m learning that those who belong will be there . Now I meet people who are just like myself , and I also keep people around who accept me while I’m myself . Now some come into our lives to help mold us and others come into our lives just to be around us . What we take from the relationships is our own experience. You can’t grow and heal isolating yourself because you give yourself no time to practice your new way of thinking , living , being . Its perfectly fine to isolate sometimes , but don’t forget that making beautiful connections is apart of the journey as well .
