Happy Woman’s History month ! Come with us as we celebrate different women for different reasons . Today we celebrate Domonique Hanies as we congratulate her on releasing her first book . The book is called “Breaking The Blue Code” , the book was released on February 7th,2023 . Of course I purchased the book and I’ve starting reading it and I’ve honestly read about two chapters . Let me just say you want to get your hands on this book . It’s definitely something that people are buzzing about all over Facebook . Not only will you be entertained but you get to support our community. Support our sisters by supporting what it is they are doing . Support how they are expanding themselves, acknowledging their success as an individual. We could go on and on about the women in history I.E Rosa Parks , Madam C. Q: What strategies can be used when writing a book ?
A.Pace Yourself . Create an outline or a storyline or just let your mind flow and write . You will be amazed at what your mind can create without trying to force it . When you get writers block STOP. Don’t try to force creativity , it will come naturally . If it’s forced you will see it . Time is on your side writing a manuscript is not a race. Q: What strategies do you think are necessary to actually publishing a book ? A: RESEARCH! RESEARCH ! Look into different publishing companies , see what companies would be best for you , and what type of book you are planning to publish. Ultimately , everyone has their reason behind publishing a book ; either it’s for monetary gain or it’s for accomplishing a goal / dream it’s still an investment. If you’re not sponsored you will have to invest . Q : What was your inspiration for writing your book ?
A: Events over the years that some people wouldn’t believe . My coworkers would always say we could write a book about the things we see and see . But ultimately what pushed me to writing the book is grief . For so very long I’ve spoken about writing a poetry book , but never followed through with it . After the passing of my brother , keeping his name alive has been the driving force to keeping me alive . My book is dedicated to him . Q: Can we have details on what the next book will intel ?
A. I can’t really say too much . I can describe it as EROTIC . Q: Do you plan to establish a brand from writing this book ? A. It’s been a thought but I haven’t quite made up my mind . If God put it in me to do it , it will be done . Q: What are your plans for Dominique Hanies ? Futuristic Goals ? Where do you see yourself in 5 years ?
A. My goals for now is to just get my story out . I havent thought that far out . I actually never do . I set every goal one by one . I maybe here today and gone tomorrow.
